| Our house enjoys a very
quiet, sunny location 3 km
outside of the town center of
Altenmarkt - Zauchensee.
Pure skiing and sledding fun
without ever needing a car, ski
directly from our house to the
slopes or up to the sledding
hill and back, or out to the
cross-country ski trail which is
only 250 meters away. |

The ski school is located by
the lift base station.
Free ski shuttle to Zauchensee
running every 10 minutes.
10 minutes to Flachau and only
20 minutes to Obertauern.
When you stay with us, you can
look forward to holidays that
are filled with variety,
including the magic of an
evening spent at a mountain inn,
followed by a high-spirited
sledding adventure down a
floodlit hill back to the valley
below. And savor the
anticipation of a romantic
horse-drawn carriage ride by
night, through the enchantingly
beautiful winter landscapes
which surround the Reiterhof -
only 120 meters away.
Or, after a long day of skiing,
maybe you would simply prefer to
spend time in our feel-good
sauna with its own separate
quiet room. And if you are
a little chilled - though there
is never a shortage of other
good reasons :)) - Hermann will
always be able to find the
perfect glass of wine, or
perhaps pour a schnapps to toast
your good health! |

In summer, our house offers
a variety of exciting ways to
fill your day :
Wonderful hiking paths pass
right by our front door, or
maybe you have a taste for some
Nordic Walking. There's
golf at the Tauern Golf Course
in the neighboring town, as well
as horseback riding at the
neighboring stable only 120
meters away. For beginners and
experienced riders, offering 1-
or 2-hour treks through our
meadows and forests, always led
by well-trained riding
instructors. |

For casual and more serious
cyclists, we enjoy ready access
to the broad network of cycle
paths and mountain-bike trails
of the Amade Sports World. And
if you would like to take a
swim, take a refreshing dip in
one of our area lake resorts, or
at a public pool.
Awaiting our younger guests are
a big playground with
trampoline, basketball,
volleyball, soccer, table
tennis, table soccer, tractor
races and lots more. Mom and dad
can enjoy the beautiful
sunbathing area as they browse a
book they've borrowed from our
own small library.
In the evening, there's nothing
better than a beautiful grill
party at our new, but very
traditional grill hut, fully
equipped with a kitchen and
dishwasher. Also features a cozy
wood stove and a big grill.
And in the meantime, the kids
will be able to have all kinds
of fun around a campfire they've
made for themselves. |

We are always delighted when
people express an interest in
our farm and appreciate it when
the kids lend us a hand with
some of the stable work - after
all, what better way is there to
get a glimpse of life on an
Austrian hill farm?
We'll look after the cows
together, pet the calves and
bring them out to the pasture;
we'll play with the pigmy goats,
pamper the kittens, shoo the
geese away from the lettuce,
look for chicken eggs and later
enjoy them for breakfast.
Add to that, fresh milk, or if
you prefer, country butter and
home-made lingonberry, or
bilberry - or some other kind of
jam!
TIP. The baker will deliver
fresh breakfast rolls to your
apartment door every day! |
